Guests and Civic leaders gathered at Burnley Town Hall to watch local young air cadets receive a Certificate of Honour to mark their contribution to the community.

Members of the 352 (Burnley Squadron Air Training Corps) were praised by the Mayor of Burnley, Councillor Jeff Sumner, for their hard work and dedication. The presentation event (Friday 7th) was held as part of the Squadron’s 75th anniversary celebrations.

The presentation was made in the council chamber where the Mayor told the cadets and visitors: “I speak from personal experience when I say that Burnley Council, the people of Burnley and other organisations are very grateful to each and every one of you for your supporting role at events throughout the borough.”

The certificate was presented by the Mayor to Flight Lieutenant Alan Stuart and was followed by a small reception. The cadets were also given a tour of the town hall.
