Skips are not allowed on the public highway without a permit. Skip permits are usually obtained by the Skip suppliers themselves. If you wish to put a skip on the road outside your house please contact your skip supplier in the first instance. In giving consideration to such requests the Highways service will have regard to a number of factors and they will not always be able to grant consent.
