Household waste - domestic bins
Information on the bins used in the local authority area. If you have previously had a wheelie bin at your property but it is now missing or damaged, you can request a new one. The charge for a replacement bin is £21.65 and the wheelie bin should be delivered within 2 weeks.

Complete an online form to apply for new or additional boxes or bags
Addition information: Bins used in Burnley and Padiham:
- Blue boxes for glass, cans and plastic bottles
- White hessian bag for collecting paper and cardboard.
- Brown bin for garden waste (grass cuttings, leaves, plants, soil and small branches
- Clear sack for textiles
- Free compost bin (see link below)
- Wheeled bin or refuse sacks for general household waste come in 2 sizes, 240 litre for a standard household and 360 litre for the larger household (conditions/assessments apply)
