Grants and Finance

Finance for Growth - This scheme offers grants towards a range of projects including purchasing equipment, security improvements, property improvements and much more. For details on this please call Julie Hynes on 01282 661230 or email julie.hynes@pendle.gov.uk

Get Set - This is available to new-start businesses looking for advice and financial assistance to help with set up costs. For further details please contact David Walton on 01282 872350 or email david.walton@burnleyenterprise.co.uk

Both of the above shemes are funded through the Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI) programme. For further details of the support offered under this scheme click HERE

Michelin Development Fund - This is a scheme that has been set up to assist with the economic development and long-term prosperity of the regions where their sites are, or have been located. The programme includes two types of support. A business loan to companies at a favourable interest rate and free business support on a range of issues including Design, Information Technology and Training. Support Available from the NWDA and BusinessLink NW - The North West Development Agency and BusinessLink NW deliver a range of products and services ranging from Financial Support, Training, Innovation and Sector Development

The team offers a comprehensive property service for companies looking to relocate their business in Burnley. We meet with agents on a regular basis to compile a list of available commercial property in the town. A-Z Guide of Business Support - The A-Z Guide is a comprehensive list of Business Support available to companies in Burnley. Statistical Information - The Council provides a range of economic information including population, employment by sector and unemployment levels. The Council also undertakes Business Surveys (click HERE for details), which look at topics such as Recruitment, Training and the provision of general Business Support. Business & Innovation Awards- This is an awards ceremony held every two years to celebrate the success of Burnley companies and their achievements. For details on the last awards evening in 2009, please click HERE

Employment Site Development - The Council is involved in working with developers and partners to bring forward new employment sites and premises across the Borough.  This also includes bid writing to gain external funding to support these schemes.
