Trading at Burnley Market
Wednesday - Bric-a-Brac Trading
We do allow a limited amount of new goods trading on Wednesdays but our regular bric-a-brac traders have priority over stalls, and have rules regarding the numbers of absences they can have.
Is bric-a-brac trading any different?
Yes - a much earlier start with cars regularly queuing from 7am to get on. It's a busy day and with lots of casuals turning up at times there may not be any vacancies.
We recommend you ring us up in advance to book a stall. Be warned however, if you book it and then do not turn up we will not accept any future telephone bookings from you.
What can I sell on bric-a-brac day?
We prefer second hand items but have allowed some mixing of new goods and old goods.
If you just sell new goods then you pay a premium to trade on what is usually a busy footfall day.
If we are unhappy about any goods being sold and ask you to stop selling these, we will give you a reason but you must comply.
No foodstuffs will be allowed unless with prior approval before the actual trading day, as we will need to consider environmental health food regulations.
