The St Peter’s Challenge

Entry for 2006 is now closed but it is time to start planning your 2007 entry provisionally rescheduled for a July race day.

The St Peter’s Challenge is a competition where team creativity is the key skill but having fun is an important goal. What you have to do is to design and build a craft which can be propelled in calm water by two people using means other than oars, punting or hand held paddles. The final event is a race but it will be won by the team with the most creative design and not necessarily the fastest craft.

The rules are designed to challenge your creativity as well as to provide a fair basis for competition – read them carefully!

It will cost £18 to enter a team and your crew must be 14 or older on race day.
