Reenactments at Towneley celebrate 350 years of the Royal Society

The Towneley re-enactors will be celebrating the 350th anniversary of the founding of The Royal Society with events throughout this autumn at Towneley Hall.
Heritage Celebration
Since the official opening of Towneley Park in 1902 millions of people have enjoyed its facilities. Continuing this fine tradition we are hosting a free weekend of fun, food and festivities.
BBC Filming at Towneley
The BBC are filming a new series at Towneley from May 10th until the 18th. This will result in restrictions to visitors with the Great Hall, Regency Rooms and Long Gallery being closed for filming.
Art Galleries closed during November
To enable essential work on the air conditioning system the Art Galleries will be closed for November.
Towneley is participating in The Open Shop Project
The Open Shop Project is a partnership project between heritage venues and artists in Pennine Lancashire providing an exciting opportunity for artists to engage with new audiences.
