How much is the council’s revenue budget?
The Revenue budget for 2018/19 has been approved by Budget Council on the 21st February 2018 at a figure of £15.089 million compared with a figure of £14.596 million for 2017/18.
In achieving a balanced budget for 2018/19, the council identified ongoing revenue budget savings of £1.862m.
Approximately 45% of the net budget requirement is paid for by Council Tax payers.
The council tax was set for the year at £1,831.33 for a band D property. This represented a 5.5% increase from 2017/18.
The Burnley Council element of this was £291.50 (approximately 15.9%) and was a 2.99% increase from 2017/18.
