How much is the council’s revenue budget?
The Revenue budget for 2020/21 has been approved by Budget Council on the 26th February 2020 at a figure of £15.693 million compared with a figure of £15.815 million for 2019/20.
In achieving a balanced budget for 2020/21, the council identified ongoing revenue budget savings of £0.596m.
Approximately 46% of the net budget requirement is paid for by Council Tax payers.
The council tax was set for the year at £1,988.82.74 for a band D property. This represented a 3.7% increase from 2019/20.
The Burnley Council element of this was £306.19 (approximately 15.4%) and was a 1.99% increase from 2019/20.
