How much is the council’s revenue budget?
The Revenue budget for 2021/21 has been approved by Budget Council on the 24th February 2021 at a figure of £15.419 million compared with a figure of £15.693 million for 2020/21.
In achieving a balanced budget for 2021/22, the council identified ongoing revenue budget savings of £0.181m.
Approximately 47% of the net budget requirement is paid for by Council Tax payers.
The council tax was set for the year at £2,067.19 for a band D property. This represented a 3.6% increase from 2020/21.
The Burnley Council element of this was £312.28 (approximately 15.1%) and was a 1.99% increase from 2020/21.
