Bonfire and firework display notification
If you are planning to hold a bonfire and/or firework display on public land anywhere in the borough of Burnley on or around Bonfire Night we encourage you to notify us by completing a simple online form.
By doing this you are making the council and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, as well as other partners, aware of your plans. This helps us in our work to cut the number of accidents and reduce the anti-social and sometimes dangerous behavior associated with this time of the year. It also helps reduce the number of call-outs to the fire service, allowing firefighters to concentrate on more serious incidents.
This is part of the annual Brightsparx campaign that runs throughout the country.
Every year a small minority make life a misery for others by irresponsible use of fireworks or bonfires. Please always remember to “Follow the Firework Code”.
