Non-domestic rates, or business rates, is a tax on property that is not domestic and is how businesses and others who occupy non-domestic properties make a contribution towards local services.

Our business rates bills for 2021/22 will be issued from 12 March 2021
Expanded Retail Discount
At the Budget on 3 March 2021, the Chancellor announced that eligible ratepayers will receive a discount on their business rates bills for the year 2021/22 of 100% for the first three months and 66% for the remainder of the year. Expanded Retail Discount will be provided to eligible occupied retail, hospitality and leisure properties in 2021/22. An explanatory note is being issued with affected bills for 2021/22, which is available to view or download in the Downloads section of this page.
Refusing Expanded Retail Discount
Your business can choose to refuse the Expanded Retail Discount . Please download and complete the Refusal of Expanded Retail Discount 2021/22 form and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org and the discount will be cancelled and an amended bill will be issued.
