Benches and gates will improve area

Release date:
Friday, 23 March, 2018

Ward Opportunity Funding is being used to make a number of improvements in Hapton with Park ward.

Borough Councillor Alan Hosker has announced that he has secured 'WOF' funding for a number of projects within the area.

New gates will be placed at Coronation Avenue.

Two new benches will be sited on the black path leading from Lancaster Drive to Coronation Avenue.

Councillor Hosker said: "I'm working on a number of issues around fly tipping and anti-social behaviour, but I'd like to think that residents will be happy with this latest news. Residents have been calling for some time to stop the motorbikes on Coronation Avenue, and that's what these gates are intended to do. It's also welcome that we've managed to get two new benches for the black path, for residents to enjoy whilst out and about."
