Councillor Christine White has been out and about in the Rosehill and Burnley Wood area passing round leaflets promoting local businesses.
Produced by Burnley Council, the booklet features a wide range of businesses including cafés, pubs, restaurants, beauty salons, car garages, food shops, and many more.
Cllr Christine White, Rosehill with Burnley Wood ward councillor, said: “People might have lived in the area for years, and still not really know everything that is on offer. Or some of them might be new residents just finding out about the valuable local facilities we have.
“Small shops and businesses really know the local area. They help share useful information and they provide a focus for residents to get to know each other. People can be sure of a friendly, “hands on” service with a personal touch.
“I think our area is already a friendly and amazing place to live. By helping local shops and businesses to thrive and grow, we can all help develop it into the future.”
Copies of these leaflets are available to take away from local shops in the Rosehill and Burnley Wood area.
The initiative was paid for from last year’s ward opportunities fund.
