Christmas and New Year arrangements

We hope everyone has a safe but Merry Christmas.
 
The following festive-related information might be useful over the coming period.
Burnley Council offices will close at 4pm on Christmas Eve (Thursday) and re-open at 9am on Monday 4th January.
 
Our out-of-hours emergency service can be reached by calling 01254 356535. If you are homeless or have an emergency over Christmas or New Year please use this number and someone will be available to help you.
 
Burnley Market is closed Christmas Day to Sunday 27th December inclusive, and on New Year's Day; it is open on other days 9am-4pm/5pm - check its Facebook page for details.
 
Household waste collections will continue as usual apart from those due on Christmas Day (Friday), which will be picked up on Monday 28th December, and New Year's Day, which will be picked up on Monday 4th January.
 
Burnley Together community hub, which offers a wide range of support and advice to residents affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, will be closed Christmas Day (Friday) to Sunday 27th December inclusive.
 
It will be open Monday 28th to Thursday 31st (9am-5pm) and then close again for New Year (31st December to 3rd January) before re-opening as normal Monday 4th January. The number for Burnley Together is 01282 686402.
