Help for the homeless as winter bites

Release date:
Friday, 4 December, 2020
If you know someone who is homeless, sleeping rough or in danger of not having somewhere to sleep please encourage them to get in touch with us.
This is even more important now that winter is setting in and temperatures are dropping.

We have activated what is known as our severe weather emergency protocol, which means we will accommodate people, regardless of priority need.

People should either go to Burnley Town Hall during office hours or phone 01282 425011 at any time. We have an out of hours service which will pick up calls on that number and an operator will be able to help find emergency accommodation if needed. You can also call out of hours only on 01254 365535 or 01527 587157.

We will ask a few simple questions to establish the circumstances and provide suitable overnight emergency accommodation, as well as being able to offer advice and further support.

We are here to help.
