Memorial service for Sir David Amess MP

A memorial service for Sir David Amess MP, who was killed in an attack at a constituency surgery in Essex earlier this year, will be held in the Peace Garden outside Burnley Central Library on Friday (19th) at 3.30pm.
 
Members of the public are invited to attend the short service, which will be led by the Bishop of Burnley, the Right Reverend Philip North.
 
The Bishop will be joined by representatives from other faiths, and council and community representatives.
 
Burnley MP Antony Higginbotham will speak and Burnley Council leader Councillor Afrasiab Anwar will read a poem.
 
There will also be prayers, a wreath laying and a two minutes' silence.
