People are being invited to Burnley town centre’s first Summer Garden Party - an exciting event that will take over the centre.
The events will see the town centre transformed with live music, dance and theatre performances, street food and drink, gardening and crafts workshops and even a woodland pixie and fairy training school!
A Shed of Stories will set up in market square with storytelling throughout the day, and colourful garden party characters roaming the town centre and engaging with the crowds.
The attractions will be situated throughout the town centre, including Burnley market hall and Charter Walk shopping centre on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th July, 10am to 7pm.
The events are being organised by Burnley Council and Charter Walk shopping centre.
Councillor Sue Graham, the council’s executive member for regeneration and economic development, said: “This is bringing a taste of summer to Burnley town centre in an imaginative and colourful way. I hope people enter into the spirit and take advantage of the many food, drink and community stalls, as well as visiting the wide range of other shops and cafes the town centre has to offer.
“The events will have all the ingredients of a great British summer garden party - but without the rain, we hope!”
