Told to self-isolate? You might be eligible for a payment

Burnley residents on low incomes who need to self-isolate and are unable to work from home can now apply for the Government's self-isolation payment scheme, worth £500. To learn more about the eligibility criteria, and to apply for the payment, please visit the following site:

Residents are reminded that the Government also introduced new fines for those breaching self-isolation rules will start at £1,000 – bringing this in line with the penalty for breaking quarantine after international travel - but could increase to up to £10,000 for repeat offences and for the most egregious breaches, including for those preventing others from self-isolating.
