Reminders

If payments are not paid by the instalment date the Council will send you a reminder letter or text message.

First Reminder

This first reminder will give you 7 days to bring your payments up to date. If you not bring your payments up to date, you will lose your right to pay by instalment and the Council can demand full payment of all the Council Tax remaining for the year.

If you have not brought your payments up to date then the Council will issue a summons via the Magistrates' Court where additional costs will be incurred and added to the amount you have to pay.

After receiving the first reminder, if you bring your payments up to date, no further action will be taken.
