At the end of March each year, a survey is undertaken throughout the Borough to assess the availability of housing land and to calculate the amount of new development which has taken place during the preceding year. The results of the survey enable the Council to monitor the uptake of housing land against the level of planned provision. This monitoring will identify if there is an under or over provision of housing land and will be used to inform the review of the future housing requirement.
