The Council received the Inspector's Report on the Examination of Burnley’s Local Plan on 9 July 2018.
The Inspector has concluded that, subject to the main modifications set out in his report, the Plan satisfies the requirements of Section 20(5) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 and meets the tests of soundness set out in the NPPF.
The Inspector’s report is binding on the Council in so far as it can only adopt the Plan with the main modifications recommended.
