Issues and Options

Issues and Options Consultation

A document called ‘Burnley’s Local Plan: Issues and Options’ was prepared in 2014. This set out a series of options for growth, policies and sites for development in the borough. 

Consultation on this document ran from 17 February 2014 to 31 March 2014.

Issues and Options: Additional Sites Consultation

Following on from the initial Issues and Options consultation, the Council consulted on an Issues and Options: Additional Sites document. The purpose of this consultation was two-fold. Firstly to seek comment on alternative Housing and Employment sites proposed by landowners, developers and local residents during the Issues and Options consultation and, secondly, to seek comment on additional sites for Gypsy and Traveller accommodation.

The Consultation period ran from the 26  August to 7 October 2014.

Also subject to consultation was a Sustainability Appraisal of the additional sites.
