Bonfire registration scheme

If you are planning to hold a bonfire on public land anywhere in the borough of Burnley on or around Bonfire Night this year you need to register the fire by completing an online form.

More information on the scheme, and some helpful bonfire and firework safety advice, is included in a leaflet on the scheme.

Every year a small mindless minority make life a misery for others by irresponsible use of fireworks or bonfires.  Remember to "Follow the Firework Code".

Burnley Council works in partnership with the police, Fire and Rescue Service and Calico housing to keep the run up to the 5th November as problem free as possible.

The scheme is part of the Brightsparx campaign that runs throughout the country, with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Services taking the lead in ensuring that this year's Bonfire Night is safe and enjoyable for everyone involved, by reducing accidents caused by Bonfires and keeping the level of anti social behaviour to a minimum.
