Dog services

Dog fouling

Dog fouling upsets local residents, spoils the environment, and can even cause serious health problems particularly to children.

It is an offence to not clean up after your dog and you could be issued with a fixed penalty notice of £75. If taken to court, you could face a maximum fine of £1,000.

There are no excuses for failing to clean your dog’s mess – it takes very little time and effort. When walking your dog, make sure you always carry a ‘poop-scoop’ and a doggie bag. That is all you need to keep the town tidy.

Dog bins

We provide dog waste bins in throughout the borough at locations such as parks, pedestrianised areas, grass verges, open green spaces and public footpaths. We also check dog bins on a regular basis and empty them when required.

Report, apply or book online

By using the 'Report' icon at the top of this page (and on every page on this website) you can now report issues at the click of a button. You can also sort out things like bulky waste collections through the 'Book' icon, or pay for your garden waste collection service at 'Pay'. These will re-direct you to our online forms, you maybe required to login and/or create an account.

Or simply click the links below to get straight to the service you need.
