Residential Pest Control Service

Covid- 19 Update

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Council is currently operating a limited pest control service. 

If you had an appointment booked pre-Covid-19 you will receive a letter when the service resumes so that you can make a new appointment.  Also, if you have contacted the Council during the Covid-19 period and left your contact details, you will also receive a letter when the service resumes, again, so that you can make a new appointment. 

Residential Pest Control Service 

The Council is currently operating a limited service and can respond to outdoor jobs only.  Outdoor refers to pest control issues in your garden/yard.

Are you a tenant?  Do you rent your property?

Additionally, you will also need to provide details of your landlord/letting agent (company, name of contact and telephone number) and a Council Officer will give you a call to discuss the matter.

Burnley Council pest control provides a service to domestic properties to control pests and will respond as soon as possible. 

We treat the following types of pest control problems:

  • Cockroaches
  • Fleas and Bedbugs: a fee of £54.80 (inc.VAT) per visit is made for services provided to domestic customers 
  • Common wasp: a fee of £54.80 (inc.VAT) per visit is made for services provided to domestic customers - wasps start dying off during August/September so they may not require any treatment, we would advise that you leave the nest alone and if it still remains a problem or is situated in a location where it can’t be left alone then please arrange an appointment.
  • Mice
  • Rats
  • Ants: a fee of £54.80 (inc.VAT) per visit is made for services provided to domestic customer
