Garden Waste Subscriptions are now closed..... you will be able to re-join after the winter break.
Why do we charge for the service
The council introduced a charge for the service in summer 2017. The decision was not taken lightly. Unfortunately, like many other local authorities across the country, the council can no longer afford to provide this non statutory service without introducing a charge. The council faces significant financial pressures over the next three years and is facing a budget deficit of £4.5 million.
Residents can choose to “opt in” to the service. The cost (£30 per year) is in line with other local authorities that already charge for garden waste collection.
The council will only collect garden waste bins from those residents who have paid the subscription charge.
